Darkness Dwells at Dawn
Let my eyes burn,
Let me hold in the tears,
May my eyes swell and glow red,
And let the pain sear.
Let my jaw ache,
An upward arch engraved across my face,
A punctured cheek,
Where once a pin of pain had been placed,
May I drown in the oceans of my thoughts,
Wince as I breathe in the salty air,
May my memories submerge in the murky waters,
Dissolve into a state beyond repair,
Let me fall deeper,
Let my body go numb,
Let my chest deflate,
And stop beating like a drum,
May it swallow all consciousness,
As I close my two eyes,
And may a hand wrap my neck,
A tight squeeze and an awful demise.
