Diving In The Deep
I dissolve in the water with a splash,
My life comes to my eyes with a flash,
Everything goes still as stone,
As I say goodbye to memories I used to cherish and hone,
I watched the bubbles float out of my mouth,
As I slowly drift south,
Thoughts as sharp as a knife,
Stab me as I bid goodbye to my life ,
I hear my lungs scream for air as my jumper weighs me down,
As I remember all the memories of my home town,
Aching, my eyes burn
As my empty stomach continues to churn,
Finally I gently close my eyes,
And awake, cold with baby cries;
So I shut my mouth and smile again,
Because from this day I start following a new lane.
