Photography / The Camera
“CLICK! CLICK!” Those two seconds of clicking create all the complexities and colours the human eye sees, but how? The word “photography” basically means “drawing with light”. The word was first made by the British scientist Sir John Herschel in 1839. This word was from the Greek words phos, (genitive: phōtós) meaning “light”, and graphê meaning “drawing or writing”.How can we change how people feel by playing with angles, positions? What is photosensitivity? What are Photons? How do photos help businesses? How do we change the feel of a photo's scenery? How do we even capture moments in that slim phone or modern-day cameras? How many different types of photos are there to master for a future photographer? Read on to find out more about the photo.
Different types of Photographs:
Have you ever wanted the newest items in a shop? The main reason for this is the creativity of Fashion Photography. This is the type of photograph which makes things look more attractive and glamorous such as shoes and clothing. There are 7 main types of photographs, Portrait, Photojournalism, Fashion Photography, Sports Photography, Still life Photography, Editorial Photography, Architectural
Photography. Portrait photography captures mood and personality as well as emotion. Photojournalism newsworthy or historic event or scene portrayed like a story. Fashion Photography Showcases glamour in fashion clothing, shoes and accessories to make it look more attractive or wanted. Sports Photography catches athletes, coaches, crowds and fans in the right moment ( in action ). Still, life Photography catches motionless objects, natural or manmade. For example an apple. Editorial Photography is used to illustrate a story or article. Architectural Photography interior & exterior designs of buildings or structures. These are the many daily usages of photographs because fashion photography is used in ads, sports photography is used in sports news, architectural photography is used in auctions and photojournalism is used for picture-perfect or memorable scenes. These are all mood-changing photos but they are all created by angles and positions. How do angles and position in photography change a photo:
Did you ever wonder how a picture can grasp a certain mood or feel? This is because great photographers have studied angles and positions in photography. The angle and position are two things that influence your photos, their outcomes and give impact to an image. The position is the height where you choose to take your photo. Holding the camera at the eye is known as eye-level position. This is the normal shooting position at a level where you look into the lens while standing. It results in a photo that only captures what you can see in front. It gives the most realistic look at what you are shooting. However, it can feel boring when all your pictures are taken from this position. A high position is made by raising your camera above eye level. This shooting position allows you to capture more of the surroundings. The low position is the complete opposite. The angle is the degree the camera is held at. High angle is shooting from a bird's eye view which captures the surroundings into a descriptive photo. Eye-level angle is the normal shooting angle where you hold the camera without tilting it and it is the normal angle that captures natural looks. Low angle is where you point the camera upwards making the object seem large, intimidating or intense. These are all of the positions and angles that can change the mood completely, but have you ever wondered how images are created in the first place?
How is a photo created?:
Have you ever wondered how with a simple click we can take an image and recreate it inside a camera or phone? A photo is created by light falling on a photosensitive surface usually on an image sensor or photographic film. Photosensitivity is the amount that an object reacts to receiving photons, mostly visible light. Photons (from Greek, meaning light), in many atomic models in physics, are particles that move light. In other words, light is carried to space by photons. Photon is an elementary particle that is its own Antiparticle. In Quantum Physics each photon has a characteristic quantum of energy. Most modern-day photos are taken with smartphone cameras which use a lens to focus on the scene's visible wavelengths of light reproduced to create an image of what the human eye would see. Photography is an art form. Photography is made by light either by electronics using an image sensor, or chemically with light-sensitive material like a photographic film. This process is called Photography.
In conclusion, the camera is an amazing device that has been put through the pages of the history books. There are many ways to capture emotions, feelings and moments. Photos are used in almost every aspect of a normal day and many important works as well. So this is the lifeline of a camera.
