KOTLC Remake - Lost

The silence was ear-piercing. I shook and quivered as every second slowly passed. Tears welled out of my eyes as I stood there as quiet as a mouse, staring down at the ground. I was wearing my oversized, elegant, pearl embroidered sea green dress as I placed the wanderling seed on the ground. I remembered all those moments I spent with her, my best friend. It was because of me she was now gone. Her lavish brown hair, curled in a wavy way reflected as the elegant, caramel leaves, her blushed pink cheeks as the berries and her turquoise eyes took on as designs on the pale swirly tree trunk of her wanderling tree which sprouted out momentaneously. On the gold plaque her name was carved, Biana Averly Vacker. Fitz eyed me from the front row. As his friend I knew that he deals with rage by blaming and frankly, I think he was right to blame me for his sister's death. Keefe intertwined his cold fingers with mine. Meanwhile, Edaline squeezed my other hand and Grady stood right beside me. Both of my adoptive parents had been very overprotective after I had been captured by the Neverseen. Bile hit my tongue as Della and Alden approached and Sandor, my overprotective goblin bodyguard, put his hand on my shoulder reassuringly.

“ I am so sorry about yesterday, Sophie. I didn't mean to put any blame on you for my daughter's death.” Della said as she hugged me. With her calm blue eyes and a much more rested look I was much less scared than the day before, but all I seemed to whisper out was a “Sorry.”
